Parked for the first three-eighths of the mile, Itrustyou was much the best when he finally made the lead, winning his 15th race of 2012 in Tuesday’s $22,500 Winners Over $10,000 Life/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Stuck with post eight, Itrustyou endured an opening panel of :26.4 before taking the point for Dave Palone. He was unchallenged thereafter, scoring by 2-1/2 lengths in 1:51.3 over the first-up Dontgetinskyway. Just Fred rallied wide for show.
Ron Burke trains Itrustyou, a four-year-old Third Straight-Dynamic Lady gelding who extended his career bankroll to $391,404, for Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and RTC Stables Inc.
