Pocket-sitter Outlaw Imahotvixen slid through the open stretch to take the $8,500 Fillies and Mares Preferred 3 Pace as the 6-5 favourite in 1:59 on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Flamboro Downs.

Driver Travis Cullen sent the Jodie Cullen-trained Blue Burner mare to the lead and parked War Filly as she took a slight lead past a :28.2 first quarter. Outlaw Imahotvixen retook control heading to the half before Hp Sissy, sitting third, tipped off the rail and surged to the top past a :58.1 half.

Hp Sissy withstood first-over pressure from Uptown Woman into the backstretch while War Filly tracked from second over and Bettys Bay third over. Cullen sat with the four-year-old mare as the top two dueled past a 1:27.3 third quarter. Once given room into the lane, Outlaw Imahotvixen shot through to the lead and held off a late bid from Bettys Bay kicking off cover late to win by three-quarter lengths. Hp Sissy held third.

Owned by Jodie and Ronald Cullen, Outlaw Imahotvixen won her sixth race from 23 starts this season and her 13th from 58 overall, earning $121,213. She paid $4.30 to win.
