Camaes Fellow used his customary front-end tactics to take top honours in sub-1:50 fashion in the $34,000 Preferred Pace featured on Saturday, Nov. 30 at Woodbine Racetrack.

Leaving from post five, Camaes Fellow and catch-driver Billy Davis Jr. cruised through fractions of :27.2, :56.1 and 1:23.2 en route to the 1:49.4 triumph. Upfront Hoosierboy and Randy Waples followed two and a half lengths behind off a two-hole trip while Sparky Mark and Anthony MacDonald rounded out the top three finishers.

Camaes Fellow was sent postward as the 2-1 second choice to fourth-place finisher Franceschetti and Jody Jamieson. He paid $6 to win.

The Ontario-sired son of Mach Three now sports a seasonal record reading 11-7-2 in 26 starts with earnings totalling $249,510 for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, and M1 Stable LLC.

The five-year-old gelding is trained by David Menary, who was the only multiple winning conditioner on the card. He teamed up with driver Sylvain Filion to win an earlier race with Camluck pacing mare Addison Bay.
