Well Said Arrives At Hanover

Well Said, winner of this year’s Meadowlands Pace, North America Cup and Little Brown Jug arrived at Hanover Shoe Farms this afternoon

. The son of Western Hanover, who many consider to be the logical heir to his dominant sire was accompanied by his trainer Steve Elliott and his second trainer and caretaker Toni Rose.

The colt quickly adapted to his new home. He was turned out in his paddock shortly after his arrival. His presence wasn’t appreciated by his next door neighbour Donato Hanover who occupies the paddock next to his. Donato, also a former protégé of Elliott and Rose, was peeved at the attention Well Said was getting at what he obviously felt was his expense.

Elliott described Well Said as “the perfect horse”. He said that he had been approached by several people who were planning to breed to him and when asked what they should look to avoid in a mare being bred to him. Elliott’s response was “nothing, he’s just the perfect horse, if he has any faults I don’t know what they might be”.

Well Said is now being syndicated and will stand at Hanover beginning with the 2010 breeding season. His service fee will be announced shortly.
