Wilcat Rocky stood out on the 10-race card full of conditioned pacing classes at Flamboro Downs as the Dale Heard trainee posted the swiftest time of the Wednesday (Nov. 8) evening action.
Travis Cullen and Wilcat Rocky settled into post three as the gate swung into action in the $7,000 conditioned pace. Zooming from the gate, Wilcat Rocky achieved the pocket spot behind Bugsy Maguire as the first panel clocked :27.3. Cullen did not sit for long and swept to the top with Wilcat Rocky. The pair set out two more panels in :58 and 1:27.4 before zipping home in :29.4 to win by four lengths in 1:57.3. You Can Have Itall (Ed Hensley) took second and Bugsy Maguire (Austin Sorrie) rounded out the top three.
Breeder Wilcat Stables Inc. co-owns the four-year-old gelded son of Hes Watching and the Camluck mare Wildcat Beauty with Antonio Tangreda. He earned his fifth win of the season and 14th career victory, which pushed him over the six-figure mark at $100,718. Wilcat Rocky returned $3.10 to win as the class favourite.
