Gracie Montana notched her second consecutive victory at the Fraser Downs meet as she prevailed from the off the pace in Friday's $10,500 Fillies and Mares Open Pace.

Just One More forced Call Me Up into the pocket through a blazing :26.2 opening panel in the first race feature and continued to lead though middle splits of :56.1 and 1:24.2. Meanwhile, Gracie Montana -- away fourth from post two -- followed Real Pretty to the outside and brushed wide past that rival as she stalled down the backstretch. Gracie Montana collared the pacesetter coming off the final turn and drew away down the lane to win by more than three lengths in 1:53.3 for local owners Jeffrey and Debbie Elchuk. Just One More stayed for second and Skade came in third.

Gracie Montana was sent postward as the favourite after winning her October 23 start in similar fashion and paid $3.60 to win. The seven-year-old Camluck mare, a career winner of 35 races and $311,268, has earned her first two wins of the year in her last two starts.

The victory was the first of three driving wins on the 10-race card for Bill Davis, who is also Gracie Montana's trainer.
