Im Bossy (Jim Marino) was quickest off the gate from Post 4, but was overtaken past the :27.1 first quarter mark by a parked out Red Star Hottie (James Burke), who was part of the favoured Robert Murphy-owned entry. Heading into the stretch, Midnight Diva angled wide and used a :29-second final frame to get up for the one-length score in 1:54.3.

Lucks Pleasure was second and Greek Beach (Scott Knight) finished three lengths back in third. Red Star Hottie and the winner’s stablemate Modern Legacy (Keith Clark) earned the remaining cheques.

Owned by Meadowlark Farms of Calgary, Alta., the five-year-old daughter of Dragon Again-Melbourne Breeze won for the fifth time in 14 starts this year pushing her earnings to $46,650. The 10-time career winner has banked $125,393 to date.
