It has been reported that a jury has found Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine liable to the tune of more than $200,000 in a case regarding the accidental destruction of horse semen.
An article by The Ithaca Independent states that in 2005 a defective cryogenic storage tank at the college caused the destruction of 212 units of semen.
The report states that units of semen were from a Holsteiner warmblood horse.
Fox Run Farm LLC of Millbrook, New York was the party that filed the lawsuit.
