Zackor continues to provide big dividends as he scored for the 11th time this season, in Saturday night's (Nov.6), $8,800 Open pace, at Batavia Downs Casino

.

Getting away second in the weekly Saturday night pacing feature, Zackor with trainer-driver Ron Beback, Jr. simply followed the speedy Robin Of Locksley (Jim Mc Neight) around the racetrack, angled to the passing line in the stretch and closed up for a head victory over Robin of Locksley in 1:56.

Zackor did have to survive a judge’s inquiry for a possible euro-rail violation.

Last week's Open upset winner, Launching Tonight (John Cummings, Jr.) who scored at odds of 41-1, followed second-over cover and wound up third.

Zackor, a 5-year-old gelded son of Sportsmaster, was claimed for $8,000 on January 27th of this year by owner James Dunn and has proved to be a fine investment as the win put him over $46,000 in season’s earnings.

Reinsman Kevin Cummings, Jack Flanigen and John Cummings, Jr. each scored driving hat-tricks while trainer Bob Gruber conditioned four winners and Neal Russo had a training double. Kevin Cummings leads Flanigen by two wins in the race for dash driving honors.

The pick-6 carryover pool continues to build when no one successfully got all six winners correct on the Saturday program. When harness racing resumes on Tuesday night, the carryover pool will be $3,368. Post time is 6:40 p.m.

There are only 12 nights left in the 2010 season and Tuesday night will be the final Tuesday of the 64th summer-fall meet.
