Sent on another successful front-end mission by driver Dave Hudon, Sterling Cooper was a repeat winner in the $10,500 Open Pace at Fraser Downs on Sunday (November 6) and notched his seventh straight victory in a streak that began back in early August at Century Downs.

Sterling Cooper left from post six in the afternoon's feature and cleared to the lead ahead of Four Diamonds (Paul Davies) on the way to the first quarter, timed in :27 over the sloppy track. The 3-5 favourite then carved out middle splits of :56.4 and 1:25.1, and kept clear of the oncoming Buddy Weiser (Rod Therres) down the lane to win by one and a half lengths in 1:53.3. Four Diamonds was third in a photo finish over Bettor In The Bank (John Chappell).

B.C.'s defending Aged Horse of the Year is now 12-for-22 in 2016 for local owner Jeffrey Elchuk and trainer Brandon Campbell. Lifetime, the eight-year-old Camluck gelding boasts 43 victories and a bankroll of nearly $275,000.
