It has been reported that organizers with the Canadian National Exhibition have opted to stop hosting the CNE’s annual horse competitions.
An article by insidetoronto.com has quoted CNE General Manager David Bednar as saying that low attendance for the annual events was a major factor in the tough decision.
The report states that the horse shows drew little attendance, not including the competitors, their families and friends.
In part, Bednar was quoted as saying that “…it is almost impossible to get any kind of a significant audience for the competitions.”
