Winbak Your Kash ($10.00) made the trip to Western New York worth it as she scored a length victory over Youre Too Funny in the featured $8,500 Fillies and Mares Open Pace Wednesday night (Nov. 6) at Batavia Downs.

Driven by North America's leading reinsman Ronnie Wrenn Jr., the Vernon Downs invader went gate-to-wire in 1:56.2 to register the victory. Winbak Your Kash benefited by a :30-second quarter in getting to the half in :59.1 over the fast track. The five-year-old mare (Artiscape-Lizbet Kash) then put up a blistering :57.1 final half to keep the remainder of the field at bay. Youre Too Funny (Jack Flanigen) rode the rail for second while Xenia Hanover (Shawn McDonough) finished in third.

Winbak Your Kash is owned by Robert Siemski and is trained by Jessica Okusko. The win was Winbak Your Kash's sixth of the season and improved her earnings to $37,311.

The $8,500 Open Trot will highlight the 12-race program on Friday night with first post scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Mystical Escapade is the 5-2 morning line favourite and drew the rail for driver Greg Merton. The feature will go off as the sixth race.
