The Sunday matinee program at Truro Raceway turned out to be a solid day at the office for trainer Nicholas White, who enjoyed a training hat trick on the 12-race card.

White got the ball rolling by watching Metro Man and driver Ryan Ellis overcome a seven-hole start en route to winning Race 2 in 2:02.

Next up was Glengyle Cam in Race 5. The eight-year-old son of Arcane Hanover, who had six rivals in front of him heading into the final quarter of the contest, used a solid kick to win by a neck for driver Kirk Parris in a time of 2:05.3.

Herecomestheriver went to the front and never looked back in Race 10 for the duo of Parris and White. The six-year-old son of Cams Card Shark halted the teletimer in 2:00.

The trio of winners helped White increase his lead in the trainers’ race at Truro Raceway this season. White’s 26 wins is tops, with Danny Romo and Blair Laffin tied for second with 21 wins apiece.
