House Bill 4311, the senate version restoring $2.5 million in operating funds for the Michigan Racing Commission, passed the senate yesterday
.
The house also concurred, which enabled governor Jennifer Granholm to sign the bill and avert a shutdown of Michigan tracks.
Without a racing commission, the tracks would have been forced to close.
