There was limited stakes action last week and no activity among the horses in last week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, and thus there was no change in this week’s top 10.
The top five was led, as it has been all 24 weeks of the rankings, by Shartin N. She was followed by Greenshoe, Bettors Wish, Warrawee Ubeaut, and Manchego. The second five remained Real Cool Sam, Gimpanzee, Tall Dark Stranger, Lather Up, and McWicked.

The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, which runs weekly through November, does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.

HOTY for 2019 will most
HOTY for 2019 will most likely be determined on Nov. 23 at The Meadowlands, as Shartin and Greenshoe will both be making their final starts of the year that night in the TVG Mare Pace and TVG Open Trot. Also expected to race on that blockbuster card are top-10 horses Manchego and McWicked, along with Real Cool Sam in The Valley Victory and Tall Dark Stranger in The Governor's Cup. They could call that night's race card "Breeder's Crown 2019 - The Sequel"!!
