Joe Pavlica Jr. of Lyndhurst, NJ captured the November 2 World Harness Handicapping Championship Qualifier that took place at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

The qualifier, which was presented by derbywars.com, required players to place ten $5 win wagers on Meadowlands live racing.

Pavlica cashed on his final $5 wager in Race 13 with longshot #10 Kerrin Joseph A, which put his bankroll at $200. The savvy wager catapulted Pavlica into first place and the qualifier win.

Alan Hirschberg, of Forest Hills, NY, also qualified for the April 18 final with his second-place finish in Saturday’s contest. Hirschberg, a regular WHHC contest participant, hit on six of his ten wagers to finish with an $86 bankroll.

Pavlica and Hirschberg will join Leroy Kelly of Hickory Hills, NY, Scot Strong of Parma Heights, Ohio and Stan Jocz of Clay, NY; winners of the Meadowlands Summer Survival Challenge, in the 2020 WHHC Final.

DerbyWars will host regular online qualifiers for the WHHC every Saturday night. Players can qualify for as little as $22. Complete DerbyWars qualifier information can be found at derbywars.com.
