Grand Circuit stakes-winning sophomore trotter Big Ranger will stand stud in 2027.
Big Ranger, 3, 1:50 ($1,582,476) will stand the 2027 season at Dublin Valley Farms in Fredericksburg, Ohio.
Owned by Madison Global of Dundee, Ohio, the son of In Range-Big Blue Bird was one of the top three-year-old trotters in North America in 2026 and won 16 of 21 races during his career.
Named the 2025 Ohio Horse of the Year for his unbeaten two-year-old season when he won all seven of his starts, Big Ranger captured the Ohio Sires Stakes Championship in 1:53.4 at Dayton Raceway. This season at three, he won nine of 14 starts, including his Hambletonian elimination in a career-best 1:50 at The Meadowlands, another Ohio Sires Stakes Championship at Scioto Downs and the Grade 2 Carl Erskine Memorial in a stakes record 1:51.2 at Hoosier Park. He owns the Scioto Downs track record of 1:50.3 for three-year-old trotters and was second by a nose in 1:49.2 in the Grade 1 million-dollar Hambletonian. He also captured his Breeders Crown elimination and finished third in the final.
Once Big Ranger’s fertility tests have been completed, his stud and syndicate fees will be announced. For more information, contact Joe Yoder at 330-473-5863 or email [email protected].
