Coming from off the pace, Czar Seelster surged to a 1:55.3 victory in the $2,650 featured pace at Charlottetown Driving Park on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Winter Blast guarded the rail and retained the lead for the first half mile with fractions of :57.4 and :56.4. Three Truths, sitting the pocket, tipped off the rail heading to three-quarters and cleared past that station in 1:26.2.

Czar Seelster tracked the wide move and ranged towards the front moving into the stretch. The Todd Weatherbee trainee edged past the top two in the lane and progressed to a one-and-three-quarter lengths win over Winter Blast with Three Truths third. Mike McGuigan drove the winner for owner Tammy Johnston.

The final race of the 14-dash card saw a dead heat as Jetta Flys and Inspector Murdoch landed on the wire together in 2:00. The dead-heat win was one of four on the program for Dowling as the Warren Grove driver won with All Turain in 1:59.4 for Lee Hicken of Charlottetown and Dustlanemissmolly in 1:59.4 for Jackie Heffernan of Summerville, P.E.I. The $2,350 back-up class also went to Dowling as he steered Rockin Indy to a 1:57.4 victory for Troy Murray of Clyde River, P.E.I.

Marc Campbell scored a driving triple on the card to retain his lead in the Red Shores Charlottetown driving standings. The Winsloe reinsman won with Rash B Havior in a 2:00.2 score for Mike Peters of Emyvale, Confident Fella in 1:57.4 for trainer Ralph Sweet of O’Leary and Eagle Jolt in 1:59.1 from his own Charlottetown stable.
