Outside and uncovered the entire back half, Classicality relentlessly wore down the leader to capture Wednesday’s $22,000 Winners Over $10,000 Life Trot at The Meadows.
Classicality was fourth into the clubhouse turn when Brian Zendt sent him after Ladys Dude, who’d enjoyed a leisurely second quarter in 30. The five-year-old Classic Photo-Penn Worthy Lane gelding put Ladys Dude away in the stretch and held off the rallying Neelys Messenger by a neck in 1:54. Better Caviar was third.
Lisa Dunn trains the homebred Classicality, who extended his career bankroll to $290,637, for Dunn Stable.
Eric Ledford and Zendt each piloted three winners on the 15-race card.
