Dover Downs defending driving champion Corey Callahan kicked off the new meet with five wins, including the Sunday feature with The Onlyest One.
The Onlyest One proved fastest in the stretch to hold off a pair of fast-finishing opponents at the wire in 1:57 to win the $10,500 Three & Four-Year-Old Male Pace.
The Onlyest One fought off a determined bid from Arts On Fire (George Dennis) and three-wide Pastor Jack (Matt Kakaley) at the three-quarters before pulling away in deep stretch for his fourth success of the year. Fast Back Eddie (Ron Pierce) closed between horses to edge Pastor Jack for second.
A three-year-old altered son of Bettors Delight-Canaco Lily, The Onlyest One is bred and trained by Freida Ivory and co-owned by Ken Mitchell.
Callahan's other winners were Racing Naked, Its That Time, Karens Assets, and African Violet.
