Regarded as one of the pre-eminent trainers in the history of Standardbred racing, the soon-to-retire Jimmy Takter made sure to conclude his driving career on a winning note, teaming up with youngster Im All Pink ($4.00) in the 13th race on Thursday (Nov. 29) at Harrah's Philadelphia.

A full sister to 2015 Hambletonian winner and double millionaire Pinkman, Im All Pink proved victorious in her career debut, drafting in the pocket behind Bag O Chips before angling off the pegs at the top of the stretch and prevailing by a neck in 1:57.4. Christina Takter, John Fielding, Joyce McClelland and Herb Liverman own the two-year-old Explosive Matter-Margie Seelster filly, who sold for $210,000 at the 2017 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Im All Pink reached to win on Thursday at Harrah's Philadelphia, giving Jimmy Takter a win in his final race as a driver.

Takter hangs up his signature green and white colours after 823 driving wins in North America, in addition to his 2,156 training wins since the United States Trotting Association began keeping training records in 1991. Takter's trainees, including Im All Pink, earned over $134 million.

Takter's final start as a trainer is scheduled for Friday's (Nov. 30) 12th race at Harrah's Philadelphia, when Josert Fonseca will drive second-time starter Hillofamistery, the first foal out of 2013 Zweig Memorial winner Mistery Woman.
