Doug Bowins' trotter Chinnys Wings notched his fourth consecutive win on Friday night with a three length romp in the $13,500 Preferred at Western Fair Raceway.
The 3-5 favourite swept from third to first after the :29.2 opening quarter and cruised through middle splits of :59.1 and 1:28.2 en route to the 1:58 victory. Longshot Charmbo Tie (Bruce Richardson) came on for second while second choice Indiana Hall (Robert Sparling Jr.) finished third after advancing first over.
Bowins co-owns the seven-year-old Armbro Ricochet gelding with Donald Brinkman of East Coulee, Alta. The victory was the trotter's eighth this year and 39th lifetime pushing his earnings to $321,012.
Chinnys Wings paid $3.30 to win this time out. His current streak also includes victories at Flamboro and Batavia Downs prior to his Nov. 16 score in the Preferred at Western Fair.
