Scuola Hanover earned her fourth consecutive win by way of a 1:51.2 score in Wednesday night's (Nov. 3) $25,000 Mares Open Pace at Dover Downs.
Shes Pukka N and Tony Morgan controlled fractions of :26.3 and :55.2 with Sunny Dee in the pocket and Scuola Hanover grinding up first-over past the half. Scuola Hanover drew within a neck of Shes Pukka past three-quarters in 1:23.3 and towed 8-5 favourite Soho Burning Love A into contention. In deep stretch, Scuola Hanover collared Shes Pukka N by a neck, pacing a :27.2 last quarter to seal victory. Soho Burning Love finished third.
Driver Art Stafford Jr. co-owns Scuola Hanover, a six-year-old daughter of A Rocknroll Dance who paid $6.20 to win, with trainer Andrew Stafford and Thomas Ireland.
Tim Tetrick led all drivers with six wins on the card; Stafford won four.
Thursday's (Nov. 4) card features four Matron Stakes for two-year-olds, highlighted by Venerable, who leads the freshman filly trot. First post is 4:30 p.m.
