For the second consecutive night at Woodbine Racetrack, driver Jody Jamieson piled up the wins in the midst of what can best be described as a sulky-sitting clinic
.
Jamieson, who struck for five wins during Monday’s 10-race program, duplicated that feat again on Tuesday’s 10-race card – and that’s no easy feat on Canada’s toughest circuit.
He swept the Daily Double for the second night-in-a-row thanks to scores in Races 1 and 2 with Flora Dream (1:54.1) and Theorys Hero (1:52.2). A victory behind Digital Image (1:54.1) in Race 4 earned him the Tuesday evening hat trick, but the winning didn’t stop there.
He guided the camera-shy gelding, Father Knows Best (1:52.3), to a two-length triumph in Race 8 and then eked out a narrow triumph with the multi-talented Il Villaggio (1:54) in Race 9 to bring his nightly win total to five.
Jamieson currently holds down the fourth spot among WEG’s leading drivers thanks to his 203 victories this year. He trails only Randy Waples, Sylvain Filion and Rick Zeron in the race to become that circuit’s winningest reinsman of 2010.
