Martys Charm made a triumphant return to The Meadows’ elite Monday when he rode a confident quarter-pole move to victory in the $22,500 Winners Over $10,000/Preferred Handicap Pace

A top performer at The Meadows in 2008 and part of 2009, Martys Charm last year injured his leg when he kicked a stall wall and was sidelined for a number of months. Midway through 2010, he began his comeback, working his way through conditioned ranks until his promotion to Monday’s feature.
He won handily for Randy Tharps, scoring in1:51.2. The first-over Object Of Art was second, 1-1/4 lengths back, with Handsome Prince third.
Paul Corey trains Martys Charm, a six-year-old Aces N Sevens-Bets Mae gelding who now boasts career earnings of $311,575, for Martha and Gerald Baluck.
Dave Palone drove three winners on the 15-race card.
