Meadows Preferred To Miss Mady

Miss Mady backed down the second quarter and sprinted home from there, easily capturing Monday’s $15,000 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

After Dave Palone gave her that 30.1 breather, Miss Mady had little trouble thwarting the first-over challenge of Miss Read. The four-year-old daughter of Brother Lost Soul-Promised Place scored in 1:54.1 over her stablemate, the pocket-sitting Tessa Seelster. Fox Valley Charm finished third.

Ron Burke trains Miss Mady, who extended her career bankroll to $109,365, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Palone piloted four winners — including three for Burke — on the 12-race card while Tony Hall enjoyed a triple.
