The weather was not favourable, but the hospitality and the activities of the day certainly were this past Saturday (November 25) when Blake Macintosh held an open house at Meadowbranch Training Centre.
The event gave current and prospective owners an opportunity to meet Macintosh, his team, the horses and each other.
Macintosh, an accomplished Ontario horseman who has been chosen as the trainer for the Standardbred Breeders of Ontario Association (SBOA) New Owner’s Mentoring program this year, showcased 32 yearlings in person and on the track.

There are currently shares available in 14 of the yearlings that were presented. There is also one share remaining in the SBOA group mentored by Tammy McNiven.
"It was fantastic to see the SBOA mentoring group’s three horses on the track Saturday morning. To see the beginnings of what will hopefully be an exciting couple of years on the racetrack, but also the new found friendships that are forming just because you own a small piece of a horse together," said SBOA Vice President Tammy McNiven.
If you were unable to attend the Open House, you can now view the videos online on Macintosh’s webpage.
