Standardbred Canada today announced the dates for its 2010 horse sales
.
The 2010 sales season will kick off with the Spring Fling Mixed on Sunday, May 16. Last year the Spring Fling was combined with the Twos In Training sale but because the entries were very light for the two-year-old section SC will only have the very popular Spring Fling.
Next on the agenda will be the Summer Sizzler Mixed Sale on Sunday, August 22, followed by The Canadian Yearling sale on Saturday, September 11 and Sunday, September 12. Formerly known as the Canadian Open Yearling Sale, the Canadian Yearling Sale will have the same two-day format as in 2009 selling approximately 290 yearlings. Last year's two-day format worked very well for both consignors and buyers alike and the same system will be continued in 2010.
The Fall Extravaganza Mixed Sale will be held on Sunday, October 24.
Also SC sales will be held at the SC Sales Pavilion located at Flamboro Downs in Dundas, Ontario.
