A pair of $8,000 conditioned pace classes served as the co-features on the Tuesday (Nov. 26) evening card at The Raceway at the Western Fair District with Sportsline and It Takes Two delivering as the bettors' choice in gate-to-wire victories in their respective classes.
Leaving from post three with Tyler Borth in the bike, Sportsline posted the faster of the two triumphs in the card finale. Borth sent the Patrick Bissett student from the gate to the top and then controlled the timer with splits in :28.4, :58.1, and 1:26.4. Sportsline opened up to win by 4-1/2 lengths in 1:55.2. Hollys Treasure (Colin Kelly) finished second with Taylors Credit (Natasha Day) third.
Sportsline (Sportswriter - Angel In Disguise) was bred by Two Creeks Farm and is owned by Craig Parrott. The eight-year-old horse recorded his sixth win of the season in 19 starts with $36,062 earned. In his career of 102 starts, Sportsline has banked $304,671 and posted a record of 34-15-9. He returned $2.40 to win.
In the co-featured $8,000 conditioned pace, It Takes Two delivered as the bettors' choice with a gate-to-wire triumph.
Lorne House and It Takes Two protected their pylon position and took command of the field early. Maintaining at least a 1-1/2 length advantage over the field, It Takes Two controlled the timer in :28.4, :59, and 1:27.3. With ease, the Scott McNiven student maintained his lead and won by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:57. Full Disclosure (Travis Henry) rode the pocket trip to second and Dalhousie (Colin Kelly) completed the ticket for show.
Kimberley McNiven co-owns the Artspeak - Shellace four-year-old gelding with Bradley Douglas. It Takes Two won his 11th race of the season and moved his 2024 sum to $83,872. In his career of 85 starts, he has banked $154,871 to go along with a record of 20-15-14. He was bred by Kimberley McNiven and Donald Douglas. Returning victorious as the favourite, It Takes Two paid $3.40 to win.
