Atta Boy Dan moved powerfully first over to wear down his stablemate, Mykindachip, and capture Saturday’s $20,000 Preferred Pace at The Meadows.
With Mykindachip on a seemingly comfortable lead, Mike Wilder moved Atta Boy Dan from fourth. The seven-year-old Western Terror-Dropitlikesithot gelding overtook Mykindachip in mid-stretch and scored in 1:52. Latest Desire rallied for second, a neck back, while Dapper Dude shot the Lightning Lane for show.
Ron Burke trains Atta Boy Dan, who now boasts $651,942 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable LLC and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.
Wilder, who collected seven wins on Wednesday’s card, notched five more on Saturday’s 13-race program while Burke enjoyed a triple.
