Owner Brad Grant earned back a partial payment on recently acquired Sylph Hanover who rolled to a facile score in her debut for the new connections.
Picked up for $80,000 from the 2019 Harrisburg Mixed Sale, Sylph Hanover got away fourth in a $14,000 overnight assignment Friday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park before brushing to the front in the backstretch. She cruised through middle splits of :55.4 and 1:23.3 before being wrapped up late by driver Louis Philippe Roy. The filly rolled home in :28 to win by three lengths over Sunday Afternoon in 1:51.3. Inverse Hanover, a recent $150,000 Harrisburg Mixed Sale purchase, was third.
Richard Moreau trains the daughter of Somebeachsomewhere-Shes A Fan who entered his barn with an impressive bankroll of $468,539. The seven-time winner won for the third time this season.
