The Saturday, Nov. 22 afternoon program at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park features the Preferred Pace and three divisions of the Joe & Steven MacRae Memorial Fall Series.

Post time is 12:30 p.m. (AST) for the 16-dash offering.

The Preferred Pace in race 15 brings together a familiar, hard-knocking cast with a $5,500 purse.

Bee Two Bee has been a picture of reliability all season and now gets post three with Jason Hughes in the race bike for trainer Ashley Gamester as the 5-2 morning line favourite. A career winner of 42 races and nearly $550,000, the eight-year-old Sunshine Beach-Bee Fullof Steinam stallion is fresh off his ninth seasonal win last Saturday in the top tier Preferred class for owners Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge and Blair MacLauchlan of Charlottetown, P.E.I.

House Edge Hanover has turned into a late-flying force this fall from the Ron Matheson barn and, with Gilles Barrieau and post one, he’ll once again command early respect.

Rose Run X Con drew just to his right in post two and brings momentum as he climbs to the Preferred off wins his last two starts with Adam Merner listed to drive this week for trainer Nicholas Oakes.

Brookdale Johnny, with Corey MacPherson catch-driving, was also a winner his last two starts for trainer Phil Sizer and will start from post four.

Starting to his outside, Phil My Beer, campaigned by the Campbell driving and training duo of father Marc and son Landon, and Malignity, with trainer/driver Paul Langille, round out a Preferred that should be tightly contested from wire to wire.

The "Backstretch Beat" leans toward Bee Two Bee in the marquee tilt: “After a subpar performance two starts back, Bee Two Bee bounced back with a big win last week. He has an inside post again today, so Hughes could be pointing him to the front again. He’s the class of this field, so I’m betting they go back-to-back.”

A $4,550 Preferred 2 in race four features T H Boomtown as the morning line favourite in the field of five, starting from post four with Barrieau listed to drive for Matheson.

Another division of the Joe & Steven MacRae Memorial Fall Series begins with three splits in races two, six and nine. Windsong Quincy, driven by Marc Campbell for trainer Thane Arsenault, headlines the opening division from the middle of the five-horse field going for a purse of $3,000. The other two splits carry $3,500 purses with Five Star Dragon, driven by Merner for the Vaughan Doyle stable, favoured from post six against six rivals and Heres To Art, with Ken Murphy listed to drive for trainer Clifford Murphy, as the top selection from post five against seven others.

Race seven is a PEISHOA-sponsored event with the Chris MacKay-trained Chromed Up, in line to MacPherson, the favourite off the rail.
