Allard Doubles In Hump Day Series

Lotto Ticket and Shark Shootout kicked off a training triple for Rene Allard with victories in their respective $8,000 second leg divisions of the Hump Day Claiming Series on Wednesday evening at Georgian Downs.

With brother Simon aboard both series winners, Lotto Ticket ($4) won his division in 1:55 by three and a half length while Shark Shootout scored in 1:56.1 by two and a half lengths. Rene shares ownership of both winners, who took new lifetime marks.

Five-year-old pacer Sleek Hunter ($7) completed the three-win night for Team Allard with a career-best 1:52.3 score in his conditioning assignment.

The other Hump Day division went to the Richard Moreau-trained sophomore gelding Sky Desperado ($8.90) and driver Sylvain Filion in 1:55.3.

Moreau and Allard rank first and second in the Canadian trainer standings for wins. Moreau currently holds a 28-win lead while Allard holds the lead in the win percentage category with a Udrs of 0.460.

The Hump Day series, which is for pacers that are non-winners of $30,000 life as of October 31, 2012, will wrap up with a $30,000 (added) final next Wednesday, November 28.
