The Blooded Horse Sale Company's 77th annual Fall Speed Sale was held on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at the Champions Expo Center in Springfield, Ohio.
From 267 horses sold, the sale topper was four-year-old pacing gelding Idiosyncratic, Hip 80, purchased for $42,254 ($30,000 USD) by Rocco Stebbins of Rochester, New York. A Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi homebred, the son of Sweet Lou is out of Continual Velocity, a winner of more than $500,000 in her racing career with offspring earnings of more than a $1 million from five foals. Idiosyncratic is a 14-time winner with a mark of 1:50.3f and $166,178 earned from 58 starts. His full siblings include Grand Circuit stakes-winning fillies Canigetalouploup ($402,125 - 1:50.1) and Continualou ($410,229 - 1:50.2f).
