On Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 20), Tim Tetrick continued his torrid driving streak at Harrah’s Philadelphia, as he won seven of the day’s 12 races. The Wednesday tallies have given Tetrick 22 victories during the last four cards at Harrah’s Philly.
Six of Tetrick’s seven Wednesday victories came on the front end – which went 10-for-12 on the day – but his win in the $16,000 co-featured trot with Grover Hanover did not. The Andover Hall gelding was a pocket rocket and caught the tempo-setting Choco Charlie by one and a quarter lengths. Grover Hanover took a life’s mark of 1:56.4 in the process. Grover Hanover is trained by Bucky Angle for owners Howard and Joshua Kauffman.
All of Tetrick’s seven Wednesday winners went postward as the chalk.
Also during the card, Deweycheatumnhowe gelding One Direction won by three and three-quarter lengths in 1:56.1 for driver Pat Berry. The duo blew up the tote borad in victory, as they produced a $195.80 win price.
Harrah’s Philadelphia’s Jackpot Hi-5 carryover is now at $7,009.65 heading into the track’s Thursday card of racing.
