Woodbine Racetrack presented a 10-race card to its fans on Monday evening, and Jody Jamieson took it upon himself to win half of the races
.
Jamieson swept the Daily Double thanks to wins behind Rich Number (1:57.4) and St Pete Star (1:51.3), and he quickly completed the hat trick after guiding Hendrick Hanover (1:55.3) to a 25-1 upset score in Race 4.
He clicked with Truth In Action (1:56) in Race 8, thus bringing his win total for the evening to four, but he wasn’t about to call it a night at that point. He tacked on another tally in Race 9 after tripping out Good Bad Lucky (1:51.2), who sprinted home in :26.3 to win for trainer Dave Menary.
The five-win performance helped the multiple O’Brien Award-winning reinsman bump his yearly win total to 410 while his 2010 earnings climbed to $7,844,800. The career winner of 5,482 races and purses in excess of $73 million currently sits fifth in WEG’s driving colony when it comes to winning races this year.
