It’s been a breakout year for driver Louis Philippe Roy, and his Thursday evening success at Rideau Carleton Raceway certainly helped ‘beef up’ his already impressive totals.

Roy was in high demand on the nine-race card, and he wound up finishing his night with five trips to victory lane.

He captured four consecutive races starting in Race 2 with Sweet Sour Puss (1:59.2) followed by triumphs with Olivias Way (1:56.3), Stiletto Heels (1:58.1) and Undercover Boss (2:00.3). He also prevailed in Race 8 with Boot Scootin Loral (1:59.2) to finish off what turned out to be a pretty good night at the office.

The horseman from Mont-Joli, QC pushed this year’s win total to 209 – a personal best for a single season – while his seasonal earnings jumped to $945,270 – also a personal best. The career winner in excess of $1.2 million saw his UDR soar to .416 thanks in part to the five-win performance.
