Captainofrocknroll ($2.90) struck another winning chord at Flamboro Downs, earning his second consecutive top-level victory over the Dundas, Ont., double oval by way of a front-end 1:54.4 score in Wednesday night's (Nov. 17) $13,000 Preferred 2 Pace.

Just as he did last week, driver Jonathan Drury sent Captainofrocknroll to the lead from post 4, and they seated 37-1 outsider P L Jackson (Travis Cullen) in thee pocket through a :28.3 first quarter before pulling the half back to :58.4. On the second lap, Captainofrocknroll faced intensifying first-over pressure from Hitman Hill (Paul MacKenzie), who forced the pacesetter to accelerate through a :27.4 third sectional. After shrugging off that rival, the three-year-old Captaintreacherous gelding maintained his lead to the winning post under a drive, prevailing by a length over Sportsline (Colin Kelly), who wedged off the pegs just above the eighth pole and circled into second. P L Jackson maintained third from the pocket.

Mark McKinnon trains the Robert Hamather homebred Captainofrocknroll, who has now won seven times in his career.
