After driver Michael Merton won four races on Monday at Monticello Raceway, Cory Stratton did one better and one worse at The Mighty M on Tuesday (Nov. 17).
Stratton picked up five driving wins -- with three of those from his own stable -- over the 11-race card. He owned the middle of the card by sweeping Races 3, 4 and 5. Notagain was a five-length winner in the third race, Iwillmakeyousaywow was victorious in the fourth, then Swan in The Valley completed the natural hat trick in the fifth.
The feature of the Tuesday card was the $7,600 Open Pace, with Stratton guiding Ohoka Johnny N from his own stable to victory in 1:56, the fastest mile of the day. Stratton completed the driving five-bagger and training triple in the final dash of the day courtesy Im A Director N, a wire-to-wire winner in 1:56.2.
More than $481,000 was wagered on the 11-race card.
