Winning fives races on a single card is an impressive feat, but winning five-in-a-row is ultra impressive.
That was the case for reinsman Guy Gagnon during Thursday’s 10-race card at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
Gagnon reeled off five straight wins to the start the card, and in doing so he lifted his yearly win total at Rideau Carleton Raceway to 172.
He captured the opener with Olivias Way (1:57.3), and tacked on wins with Persuaded (2:02.1), P H Hippie (2:00.2), Skyfall Sena (1:57.2) and Captain Dragon (1:57.2).
Gagnon is in the midst of his best season since 2012. He’s already racked up 181 wins and purses totalling $794,291 this year. To date, he’s won 4,878 races and purses in excess of $22 million.
