Major League N lived up to her name as she topped the featured $11,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace with a gate-to-wire triumph on Thursday, Nov. 16 at Flamboro Downs.
Ed Hensley and the Ashleigh Hensley student sprinted from post five to take command of the field and the timer. Major League N handed out panels in :28.4, :58 and 1:25.3 before crossing the wire a half-length the best in the big leagues in 1:54.2. Shoot The Whiskey (Travis Cullen) took second and Randomirogeo (Travis Henry) rounded out the triactor.
Ed & Ashleigh Hensley own the 10-year-old veteran mare, who recorded her 35th career victory. Major League N moved her career bankroll to $343,368. She returned $9.80 to her backers.
Jodie Cullen sent out three trainees as victors on Thursday evening to produce a training hat trick with Hes Got Swagger (1:56, $3.20), Betternotmachme (1:57.2, $2.10) and Exotic Dragon (1:55.2, $2.10), each piloted by Travis Cullen.
