The winning streak is now three-in-a-row and counting for Mrs Suhwiggins who marched to an impressive triumph in Monday’s $9,000 feature at Century Mile.
Kelly Hoerdt blasted to the lead from Post 8 with the Michael Campbell trainee, and after whacking out fractions of :28.1, :58.2 and 1:28 the distaffer sped home in :29 to win by 1-1/4 lengths over a hard-driving Lady Neigh Neigh in 1:57. Scardy Cat rounded out the top three finishers.
Mrs Suhwiggins, who was sent off as the 9-5 favourite, now owns an 8-3-3 record from 21 starts this season. The 17-time winner, who has banked over $260,000, is owned by J J J Stables of Prince George, BC.
