Miss Itunes disappointed as an odds-on favourite in last week’s top class for distaffers at Fraser Downs, but she bounced back in a big way in Monday evening’s main event.
Scott Knight hustled Miss Itunes to the lead from Post 3 in the $10,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace, and this time around she managed to get things her own way throughout the mile.
The five-year-old daughter of Mystery Chase-Minettas Munchkin rolled the field through fractions of :27.2, :58 and 1:25.4 before using a :27.3 kicker to win by a pair of lengths over race favourite Century Mach in 1:53.2. Moosette rallied late to take home the show dough in the five-mare affair.
Chris Lancaster trains the 16-time winner for Donna Wyse and David Lamont. The winner of $173,543 improved her 2022 record to 4-0-5 from 31 attempts with the win.
