The Blooded Horse Sales Co.'s 2022 Fall Speed Sale took place at the Champions Center Arena in Springfield, Ohio on Tuesday (Nov. 15) and Maisys Muscles was the sale topper.
Maisys Muscles (pictured above) is a three-year-old filly trotter by Muscle Hill, out of the Donato Hanover mare Windsong Nolwenn. Consigned by Winterwood Farm, Maisys Muscles was sold as Hip 221 for a $45,000 price tag to Silver Creek Farm of Topeka, IN.
Hip 65 Lady Lucina sold for $40,000 to Stephen Richard of Leominster, MA. The Downbytheseaside-Itsgoodtobealive filly was consigned by Spring Haven Farm. She is a half-sister to Itsgoodtobedaking, a seven-year-old winner of $243,700 with a mark of 1:50.4.
Also garnering a $40,000 bid, Hip 248 Up Blueberry Hill was consigned by Burke Racing Stable LLC and bought by William Hartt of Carmel, ME. The three-year-old gelding trotter has a record of 4-4-2 in 28 starts and a mark of 1:55.3 with $136,887 in career earnings. Up Blueberry Hill is by What The Hill and out of the Credit Winner mare Fruition.
