Stardust Volo found the sloppy going to her liking as she rolled to a convincing victory in Thursday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, an $16,528 conditioned trot.
Sent off as the 8-5 favourite, Stardust Volo seized the early lead for Ronnie Wrenn Jr. and shrugged off the mild bid of Butter N Syrup. No other challengers emerged, and the three-year-old daughter of Muscle Hill-Sterling Volo scored easily in 1:56. Finest Moment, a 44-1 longshot, was 3-1/4 lengths back in second with Five Stars third.
Ron Burke trains Stardust Volo, who has won three of her last five starts, for Greg Luther Racing and Patrick Hoopes.
Wrenn collected four wins on the 13-race card, including a pair for Burke.
