Weed In Straw Could Cause Positives

Officials with a North American racing commission have issued an advisory in regard to a prohibited drug that has recently been found in straw at a racetrack.

The California Horse Racing Board has announced that Jimson Weed has been identified in straw delivered to Del Mar.

The weed can contain scopolamine, a prohibited drug. Any Jimson weed should be removed from stalls when present.
