Kandor Hanover took her time making the front, but she was unassailable once there in capturing Monday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Trot at The Meadows for her second straight victory
.
Dave Palone allowed Kandor Hanover to idle on the outside until the field settled before urging her to the lead in a :27.3 opening panel. The five-year-old daughter of Tagliabue-Katelyns Glory was unthreatened thereafter, downing the pocket-sitting Photo Fantasy by a length in 1:55 over a “good” surface. Caviar Forthe Lady raced well first over for show.
Bill Zendt trains Kandor Hanover, who now has won 16 races and $405,735 in 82 career starts, for Online Stables, John Burns and Pat Huber.
Palone drove four winners and Brian Zendt three on the 15-race card.
