Medusa zipped right to the lead from post 6 and never had an anxious moment as she cruised to victory in Monday’s $17,000 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Medusa easily thwarted the first-over challenge of Fox Valley Charm and scored for Tony Hall in 1:52.2 over a “good” surface, 1-1/4 lengths better than the pocket-sitting Miss Mady. Fox Valley Charm raced well for show.
Randy Bendis trains Medusa, a six-year-old daughter of Bettor’s Delight-Mythical who now boasts $629,657 in career earnings, and owns with Tom Pollack.
Dave Palone, Bendis and Hall each enjoyed a three-bagger on the 13-race card.
