Saturday Six-Bagger For Barrieau

It was Gilles Barrieau day at Exhibition Park Raceway in Saint John, N.B. as the track’s top reinsman worked out six winning performances to dominate Saturday's 11-race card

Barrieau kicked off his winning ways in the second race with a natural grand slam. He was victorious with Nellies Money ($3.10) for trainer Ron Chamberlain, Crowley Creek ($4.30) for Mary Clancy and Serge Cormier trainees Dream Of Riches ($14.70) and Power Pro ($2.10). Barrieau also won the seventh race with Terrific Mcgoozer ($3.60) for Eric Wilson and the 10th race with his own pupil Magnetic Benka ($4.40).

Barrieau currently ranks second in the Canadian drivers standings with his .455 win percentage and is the leading driver at EPR with 70 victories under his belt. The resident of Saint John, N.B. has recorded a total of 173 victories so far this year earning over $352,000. Lifetime, he boasts 3,370 wins on his record and over $6 million in purse earnings.
