K Ryan Bluechip followed live cover into the final turn, then brushed wide through the lane to capture Thursday’s (Nov. 12) $17,900 Open Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
K Ryan Bluechip was sixth down the backside when Dave Palone tipped him off the cones to follow the first-over Carolina Beach. The eight-year-old Art Major and Fool That I Am gelding had enough late to down the ground-saving Wild Wild Western by a half length in 1:50.3. Carolina Beach saved show.
Mike Palone trains K Ryan Bluechip, who extended his lifetime bankroll to $597,459, and owns with J.R. Ryan, Stephen Ronay and Collin Ryan.
Dave Palone collected four wins and Jim Pantaleano three on the 13-race card.
Live racing at The Meadows continues Friday (Nov. 13), when the program features a $741.64 carryover in the Pick-5 (race eight). First post is 12:45 p.m.
